iFrame Studio — Setup and User Guide
Last updated: 16 June 2026
1. Overview
iFrame Studio lets you embed any publicly accessible web page directly inside your HubSpot CRM records. You can add live maps, dashboards, forms, portals and booking pages to a record using either a fixed (static) URL or a URL pulled dynamically from a record property. The card can be added to Contact, Company, Deal and Ticket records, and works across the CRM record page, Sales Workspace and Customer Success.
2. Before you start
- You need a HubSpot account with permission to install apps and to customise record layouts.
- Any page you embed must be publicly accessible and must allow embedding. Some websites block being shown inside an iframe, so they will not load (see Troubleshooting below).
3. Install iFrame Studio
- Install iFrame Studio from the HubSpot App Marketplace and connect it to your portal.
- If you are prompted for billing information, you can skip it. A free trial starts automatically.
4. Open the app settings
Go to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps, then open the iFrame Studio app. From here you can configure window sizes and choose where the card appears.
5. Choose where the card appears
- In the app, open the App cards tab and click Manage locations.
- Select the objects you want the card to appear on, for example Contacts, Companies, Deals or Tickets.
- Save your selection.
6. Position the card on the record (optional)
Open a record of one of the objects you selected. If you want to move the iFrame Studio card to a different position, use Customize record layout and drag the card to where you want it.
7. Set your window sizes
Open the Settings tab. This controls the window size options available when you add an iframe.
Built-in sizes. Seven sizes are available out of the box, and you can switch any of them on or off:
- Small (500 x 400)
- Medium (750 x 550)
- Large (1000 x 750)
- Full (1200 x 850)
- Compact (400 x 300)
- Wide (1100 x 600)
- Tall (700 x 900)
Custom sizes. To add your own, enter a name, a width in pixels and a height in pixels, then click Add. Your custom size then appears in the window size dropdown whenever you add or edit an iframe.
8. Add an iframe
- On a record, find the iFrame Studio card and click Add iframe.
- Give the iframe a name. This is the label shown on the button.
- Choose the URL source:
- Static URL: paste a fixed, publicly accessible URL that will be the same on every record.
- CRM property: select a record property that contains a URL. iFrame Studio loads whatever URL is stored on that property for the record you are viewing, so each record can show its own page.
- Choose a window size.
- Click Add.
9. Open an embedded page
Refresh the record. A clickable button appears on the iFrame Studio card. Click it to open the embedded page in a clean pop-out window. Close the window to return to the record.
10. Editing or removing an iframe
On the card, click Edit to change the name, URL source, property or window size of an existing iframe, or to delete it. Save your changes and refresh the record to see them.
11. Troubleshooting
- The page is blank or will not load. The most common cause is that the website blocks embedding. Many sites use security settings (for example X-Frame-Options or a Content-Security-Policy) that prevent them being shown inside an iframe. Try a different page, or contact that website's provider about allowing embedding.
- The URL is not public. Pages behind a login, on an internal network, or otherwise private will not load. Use a publicly accessible URL.
- The button does not appear after adding an iframe. Refresh the record page.
- A dynamic iframe is empty. Check that the chosen property actually contains a valid, publicly accessible URL on that record.
- The card does not appear on a record type. Open the app, go to App cards > Manage locations, and confirm that object is selected.
12. Managing your subscription
To view, update or cancel your subscription, open the billing portal here: https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/7sY00c7vQ5a090DcUN7ok00
Cancelling your subscription stops future billing. You can also remove the app entirely by uninstalling it from Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps in HubSpot.
